President

Amar Tailor is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a long history of hotel, restaurant, and institutional management. Since 2015, he has been the owner and operator of Mathnasium of Middletown, DE where he and his staff teach math to kids in a way that makes sense to them.

Amar has been an active member of the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce since 2015 and the Foundation for Appoquinimink Schools since 2019, serving as both the Vice President and the President.

He lives in the Middletown area with his family.

Jeff Klein, Ed.D. is a Senior Policy Scientist at the University of Delaware. He has spent years in leadership roles in the areas of project planning, sample recruitment, instrument development, data collection and management, data analyses, and the production of reports and manuscripts for CRESP projects, including NSF-funded programs and evaluations for the Delaware Department of Education. Prior to his work at the University of Delaware, he was the Coordinator of Research, Development, and Evaluation at the Appoquinimink School District.

Dr. Klein has over 20 years of experience in using assessment data and leveraging technology to bring about positive outcomes for students. He and his family reside within the Middletown area.

Board Member, Social Media & Communications

Amanda Russell is a writer and content strategist for small businesses across the country. She earned her AA and BA from the University of Delaware and her Paralegal Certificate with a Concentration in Litigation from Widener University's Legal Education Institute. After working as a paralegal for a decade, she opened her own creative content and marketing firm.

She and her family live in the Town of Odessa, where she is the Chair of the town's Planning Commission, as well as a member of the Board of Elections. She has a long history of volunteering with various charities and organizations around the state, including the MOT Youth Lacrosse Club. Amanda is also the mother of three children, all of whom attend school in the Appoquinimink School District.
